Story of a high school girl who lives with her father and shut-in brother and was so traumatized by the events and its consequences she basically lies throughout the day telling she’s an only child. Also she’s basically the typical shoujo girl, cute, has a mutual love interest, is popular, works a baito, has THICC lips and eyebrows thatsmyfetish.jpg
But one day, that problematic NEET brother of hers decides to come out of his cave, and wants to confront the outside world, to her dismay and her perfectly fabricated life.
The premise is really just a pretense to launch the story, as you could think the whole “OMG my NEET brother is coming out he’s going to ruin my life” shtick would be the main source of story/comedy of the manga.
Instead you have two stories shaping up, with the deuteragonists Shino (the sister) and Tamotsu (the brother) trying to cope with their mutual situation, Shino trying to conciliate her routine with her reappearing brother, her boyfriend, her part-time work, and trying to help him the best she can, all the while discovering that her family isn’t the only one having issues, and Tamotsu fighting his weaknesses and trying to reinsert himself in the society, work and making social links reaching out to people.
Granted it’s still treated as a shoujo/seinen story but it’s done well enough you can relate to the characters, especially when you had problematic siblings.
